Kierunek food science - technology and nutrition

The studies are conducted in English. The studies start from winter semester, last for 4 semesters (2 years) and end with a master degree.

Ensuring the sustainable growth of the modern food economy presents challenges that can only be effectively addressed by well-educated food scientists and professionals. The demand for food technologists and nutrition specialists is consistently high, domestically and internationally. Moreover, this career path is poised for the future, as emerging challenges within the food industry require innovative approaches to food production, processing, and quality assessment. Experts in this field are irreplaceable by artificial intelligence.

Students have the opportunity to explore their interests within the primary themes outlined in the study program, supplemented by a diverse array of elective courses offered by the university. The educational framework also accommodates the possibility for students to earn additional micro-credentials by taking elective courses, which document the acquisition of specific market competencies as part of a tailored learning journey. Furthermore, students can engage in international exchange programs by completing portions of their studies at partner universities.

Graduates emerge with an interdisciplinary education that merges advanced knowledge in scientific, technical, biotechnological, and economic disciplines with fundamental insights from the basic sciences, making them attuned to the demands of the contemporary market.
