environmental engineering
The studies are conducted in English. The studies start from summer semester, last for 3 semesters (1.5 years) and end with a vocational degree of Master of Science in Engineering.
The graduate has knowledge and skills in the field of planning, design, construction and operation of sanitary engineering facilities (water supply, sewage systems, water treatment plants and sewage treatment plants), hydrotechnical and hydraulic structures, water engineering, landfills and water management systems. Graduates can take a job as a designer, contractor and executor of investments in the field of sanitary structures, networks and installations, waste management, development and reclamation of the environment, as well as within their own business activity related to the design and execution, distribution of materials and installations in the field of environmental engineering . Studies in the field of Environmental Engineering give the opportunity to obtain education on engineering issues related to the natural environment utilization for human needs. A graduate of the course can find a job in design offices, contractor companies, construction supervision, municipal economy enterprises, state and local government administration units as well as in scientific and research institutes. After the graduation from the second-cycle studies are also prepared to continue education at Ph.D. studies, and have the ability to acquire, integrate, interpret and critically evaluate information, also in a foreign language. It should be stressed they are also ready to responsibly and reliably analyse and evaluate the results of their own and third-party work, formulate conclusions and opinions in the field of environmental engineering, able to convey knowledge and information to the public in a comprehensible way.
The diploma of a graduate of Environmental Engineering of a full-time second-degree studies confirms obtaining qualifications defined by directional learning outcomes in the category of knowledge, skills and competences, which entitle for professional practice to obtain a complex qualification - construction qualifications awarded by the Polish Chamber of Civil Engineers. Graduates of Environmental Engineering may apply for licenses to manage construction works and design without restrictions in the installation specialty of heating, ventilation, gas, water supply and sewage networks-installations and structures, hydrotechnical engineering. In the building and construction specialization may become authorized to a limited extent.
