Major Spatial Economics

2024/25, first cycle (engineering degree), full-time studies

Studia na kierunku Gospodarka przestrzenna podporządkowane są kształceniu specjalistów w zakresie zagospodarowania przestrzeni. Kierunek studiów specjalizuje się w aspektach gospodarowania przestrzenią terenów niezurbanizowanych, poza-metropolitalnych, w przeciwieństwie do analogicznych kierunków realizowanych na uniwersytetach i politechnikach. Absolwenci kierunku, poprzez interdyscyplinarność studiów a także wyposażenie w wiedzę i umiejętności niezbędne w gospodarowaniu przestrzenią (m. in. zasady planowania przestrzennego, postępowanie administracyjne, wycena nieruchomości, projektowanie inwestycji, obsługa programów GIS) znajdują zatrudnienie u wielu interesariuszy. Wyjątkowe dla GP w SGGW, w porównaniu z analogicznymi kierunkami (także na uniwersytetach przyrodniczych), jest położenie nacisku na przedmioty związane z zagospodarowaniem przestrzeni lasów i na zdalnych metodach inwentaryzacji zjawisk (stanu lasu, terenów o walorach przyrodniczych oraz zagospodarowania terenu w celu analiz planistycznych). Na kierunku prowadzi się edukację opartą przede wszystkim na przykładach, analizach konkretnych studiów przypadku (case study). Wykorzystywane są autentyczne dane, rozwiązywane są realne problemy, przy użyciu metod i narzędzi stosowanych w praktyce zawodowej absolwentów. Studenci wykonują znaczną liczbę projektów wykorzystujących bazy danych opisowych i przestrzennych, tworząc ład w przestrzeni, głównie terenów poza-metropolitalnych. Na specjalną uwagę zasługują projekty wykorzystujące czynnik upływającego czasu i jego wpływ na zmieniający się stan analizowanego krajobrazu (np. symulacje stanu zasobów leśnych w horyzoncie czasowym 50 lat). W projektach studenckich dotyczących sztuki krajobrazu wykorzystywane są wizualizacje tworzone za pomocą metod tradycyjnych (makiety) i nowoczesnych (modelowanie komputerowe). Multidyscyplinarność wykonywanych prac projektowych (inżynieria, sztuka, design, prawo, nauki społeczne i nauki przyrodnicze), oraz ich ilość i oparcie na autentycznych i często własnoręcznie zbieranych danych, sprzyja edukacji zgodnej z zasadami „learning by doing”. Na szczególną uwagę zasługują warsztaty terenowe w niewielkich miastach i gminach, których efektem są potrzebne lokalnie koncepcje zagospodarowania terenu.
